My parents have met Prateik: Amy Jackson

Amy Jackson has many calling cards. Prateik's girlfriend, his Ekk Deewana Tha co-star, Brit beauty queen... the list is quite a long one. She claims that she has been approached for a B-Town movie but doesn't divulge more about that. Instead, she opens up about other stuff.

Here's what she talked about...

'Boyfriend' Prateik
Each got the other's name inked on their forearms. Showbiz link-ups have a short shelf life. She's all of 20. Doesn't she feel it's too soon? "For me, age doesn't matter. You've got to go with your heart," she reckons, "In today's times, relationships can seem fickle but Prateik and I are best friends. Our relationship is disconnected from our profession." Uh, isn't it the common profession that brought them together? "We met while shooting for Ekk Deewana Tha. We became close after I moved to Mumbai. Like I said, we are the best of friends. Our relationship is special and it doesn't influence our work and vice-versa," she insists.

'They're happy as long as we're happy
"My family and friends have met Prateik. He gets along very well with my sisters. It makes no difference to my family where one comes from as long as we make each other happy. They are pretty cool like that," says Amy of her family being fond of her guy.

Competition in B-Town
She's here for the long haul and is undaunted by the competition. "There's competition everywhere. I love being in Mumbai and want to continue being here."

Other options
Amy has films lined up. But there are other things keeping her busy as well. She's going to judge a beauty pageant in USA soon. Says Amy, "It's a competition and all of these contestants want to win. They have been groomed and trained for the pageant. I don't need to be sympathetic towards them. I'm going to be completely professional about it."

Terse words coming from a former beauty pageant winner (she was 2008's Miss Teen World and 2009's Miss Liverpool). Also in the works is a line of accessories. She says, "I have been approached by a UK accessory brand to design jewellery for them."

Racist Bollywood?
A UK tabloid wrote about Amy facing racism in Bollywood. Amy refutes it. "I was
completely misquoted. That information is not correct. I feel welcomed in Bollywood. That's why I'm here. The publication is a gossip rag. I am aware of this but I don't
allow any of this to bother me. Such things happen in showbiz. That's life," she says. Amy's publicist tells us that her agents in the UK are figuring out a way to take action against the publication.
